Last Full Day at the Four Season's Resort and Spa - Bora Bora

Wednesday was our last full day, and probably the most active day. We opted for another jetski tour of Bora Bora, followed by a Moana Jetboat tour of the island, and then a dinner with our new friends (Tina and William) at the YachtClub on Bora Bora.

Jetski Tour of Bora Bora

Jetski

We had such a good time on the first jetski tour, that we took another around the island. With a full day in the sun, we put on extra sunscreen, since it was a wonderfully clear, beautiful sunny day.

Kayaking is the best way to see the resort from the water.

Looking at the main island of Bora Bora in the beautiful sunshine.

Looking towards the lagoon.

Starting another jetski tour. The jetski's max out at about 80 km/hr.

The guide chased and caught this rarely seen seaturtle.

Tour

Seaturtle

This jetski tour allowed us to see a great deal more wildlife. We saw this seaturtle, sharks, rays and big game fish. The jetski's are so fast and agile that you can almost corral fish.

Just off from the Pearl Resorts is a very shallow part of the motu where fish abound. The water is the most amazing color.

In the afternoon, we took the Moana Jetboat tour of the island, which included snorkeling, ray feeding, and swimming with sharks.

Swimming with the rays.

Swimming with the sharks off the reef in about 30 ft. of water (outside the reef).

Departing the lobby area of the Four Season's.

Sunset on our last day in Bora Bora.

Docking at the YachtClub for dinner.

The YachtClub.

The food was good enough, but the service was horrible (when you could get it).

Big steak at the YachtClub. While the resort recommended the YachtClub - I think they were surprised when we told them how bad the service was.

Our dinner group - Pepe, William, Tina and Cassie.

The final tab for dinner.

Resort Bill

Here is the final bill for the Four Season's. Keep in mind that the resort was prepaid, and these are just expenses while there.

End of the Last Day at Bora Bora

It had been a very busy day, from kayaking and the jetski tour in the morning, to the Moana Jetboat tour and finally dinner at the YachtClub. In the full sunshine, it's important to glob on the sunscreen. This was the first trip I was in the full Sun most of the time, and was wise with the sunscreen and didn't get any sunburn. A full day in the sun also necessitates that you drink alot of water - which is readily available. It was good to spend the last evening with our new friends from NYC - even with the bad service at the YachtClub, it was a really nice evening.
