Since this is an island, there are no larger vehicles - just golf carts and plenty of paved walking paths.

Relax or rent some catamarans.
They use this palapa for massages.
The quintessential Caribbean beach image.
As you approach Bitter End, this beach is to the far right, and our choice for non-populated beaches.

Virgin Gorda Activities

While there were a range of activities off of the ship (paid tours, etc.) we opted to just relax for the day, explore the Bitter End Yacht Club, and catch a few rays on the beach. Tours have their place, but more and more I'm opting to find my own adventures - it costs less and you get to know more of the local scene more. We had lunch at the Bitter End Yacht Club (pizza and a cheeseburger), then visited the provisioning store to pick up some chips and Pop-Tarts. This is a big sailboat charter area.

The tradition for sunset is a few cocktails, photos, then get ready for the 7:00 p.m. next-day activities talk in the lower lounge, dinner, then after dinner libations.

After Dinner Adventure
Foxy's

During sunset, the ship repositioned to another harbor, and some of the passengers and crew went to Foxy's (a local beach bar). We went here last year, and it was dead. This year, there were more people there, a band, and more fun. This is a great time to buy the crew drinks and thank them for such wonderful service. I never miss the opportunity to give the crew a little extra for their fantastic service. It was this night that all of the tanning beds on the top deck were converted over to beds for some of the passengers to experience sleeping under the Caribbean stars. While it looks romantic in the brochure - it's a coin toss as to whether or not you'll make it through the night. There are several reasons for this - first of all, the bar is there. If people are up late, you'll be up late. Second, the crew is running around cleaning and mopping up late. Third, the ship stack towards the aft of the ship has loud fans. The best location is forward - where there is less noise, and interruptions.
