The Navigator was docked at Malory Square, which is only a few blocks from Duval Street and downtown Key West.

I met my friend Tim for breakfast at Pepe's, one of my favorite spots for breakfast, and home of the world famous steak-smothered-porkchops for dinner. There is usually a small wait to get a table at this popular quaint restaurants, but the food and ambiance is great.

After breakfast, Tim showed me his boat, Wanderer, which is is taking up the East Coast on a year long sojourn.

Before the cruise, I had requested a Visitor Pass for Tim, so that he could see a cruise ship up close. The first day aboard, I went to reception and completed the visitor form, which is signed by the Staff Captain. This form is presented at the security check point, where it is crossed of a list and a photo ID is kept until the visitor leaves the ship.

Pier House is a wonderful resort in the heart of Key West. It's a perfect place to watch sunsets and boats go by.

The ship left just before sunset, where a crowd was already forming at Malory Square. Some charter catamarans and classic schooners were already sailing around preparing for sunset.
